Ursuline Academy Dean of Students Andrea Estavan Receives the 2026 Spirit of St. Angela Award

At our annual Serviam Commissioning Mass in April, we presented the annual Spirit of St. Angela Award to Ursuline Academy Dean of Students Andrea Estavan!

In the nominations, Ursuline faculty and staff shared that they admire her calming presence and the way she steers the girls in the right direction thoughtfully, firmly, and lovingly! Andrea is a true servant leader, always willing to provide quick assistance. She listens and reacts without judgment, making her a respected member of the Ursuline Academy Education Team. Most importantly, she always acts with the students' future growth and present well-being in mind. For those who couldn't attend, the presentation was extra special because Andrea's daughter, Jada, was able to be present for this well-deserved recognition!

The Spirit of St. Angela Award is presented annually to a faculty/staff member within the campus community. This award is intended to recognize a faculty or staff member whose work truly celebrated the Academy's theme for the year. The annual theme was intentionally applied in their work and relationships with others.

Inspired by the spirit of St. Angela, the selected recipient exemplifies the Ursuline ideals of courtesy, loyalty, and courage in the spirit of St. Angela Merici. This servant leader is dedicated to serving the community, supports and promotes the well-being and education of others, embodies the principle of charity exemplified by St. Angela, and acts with honesty, humility, and kindness.
