School Leadership

...endeavor to lead by love and with a gentle and kindly hand, not domineeringly or harshly, but showing loving-kindness in all things...

"It is an extraordinary experience to be part of the first girls' school in the United States and to know that we are part of an international network of over 100 Ursuline schools courageously following the path of St. Angela Merici. Ultimately, our work aims to ensure that every Ursuline girl knows that she is loved by God and has unique gifts to share with the world."

Amanda Cabral, Early Childhood Director

Amanda Cabral has been in education for 28 years, with 24 of those years in faith-based, independent schools in the greater New Orleans area. For the last decade, she has served as the Head of Early Childhood at a local independent school. She earned both a BFA and a MEd with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Orleans. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of New Orleans, a member of NAEYC, and an alumna of Sigma Kappa sorority. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, reading, and fitness.
