Middle School (5-7)

We challenge each girl to reach
her highest abilities.

VISIT

AT SOME SCHOOLS, MIDDLE SCHOOL CAN BE A TIME WHEN GIRLS STALL OUT ACADEMICALLY. NOT AT URSULINE.

Here, there are no gender stereotypes to demolish. Our girls play every role. And they compete against all-boys’, co-ed and other all-girls’ teams — from Quiz Bowl to robotics — and win.

Our highly interactive approach in STEM and the arts keeps girls engaged with new and challenging concepts. We encourage girls to explore outside their comfort zones, try something new and expand what they’re capable of.

Our middle school girls set themselves up for high school success — whether that’s working hard to become an honors student or building leadership skills through different clubs.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COUNSELING

Students in K through seventh grade have a full-time elementary school counselor available daily for individual or group counseling. She provides support for students with personal or academic challenges, helps with problem solving, and guides them to develop positive attitudes and good relationships with peers, teachers and family members. Counselors utilize programs and resources that address the specific needs of the students which helps to enhance individual and social development.

The counselor also conducts class sessions covering topics such as anger management, communication skills, peer and family relationships, and more.

INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING SUPPORT

Ursuline Academy is designed to address the needs of every student, including those who have learning differences. The Academy's Individualized Learning Support Program is overseen by a Learning Specialist in elementary school. In addition to classroom adjustments, our specialists meet our students where they are and assist them in achieving their academic potential. A student must submit a psychoeducational evaluation within three years of the current academic year to qualify for both adjustments and the program.
