On April 24, 2025, Ursuline Academy of New Orleans celebrated the 125th anniversary of its Alumnae Association. Established on April 24, 1900, the association has been dedicated to strengthening the bond between former students and their alma mater. The celebration took on April 23, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Academy's Courtyard, featuring a champagne toast honoring Cor Unum Collective Members, followed by a happy hour celebration.

125th Alumnae Association Academy Gift - The Legacy Room: Academy Archives

To mark this special occasion, the Alumnae Association is launching The Legacy Room: Academy Archives—a fundraising project that will Celebrate Our History and Shape Our Future. This initiative aims to preserve the rich legacy of Ursuline by creating a dedicated Academy Archives Room and developing a guided, recorded museum tour.

The project will:

  • Honor Our Heritage: Organize and display historical items currently stored in the third-floor Nashville building (old convent building/Lily House).
  • Ensure Professional Excellence: Employ an archivist to curate and organize this invaluable collection.
  • Elevate the Tricentennial: Showcase the completed project as a cornerstone achievement of the UAA’s 125th celebration and a gift to the Academy’s upcoming 300th anniversary.

Funds will be allocated for supplies to organize the space, expert archiving, and the creation of the recorded tour. This enduring legacy will stand as a testament to the UAA’s commitment to preserving Ursuline’s unparalleled history.
