Academy Welcomes International Visitors

In partnering with the New Orleans Citizen Diplomacy Council and the U.S. Department of State and Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs' International Visitor Leadership Program, our administration, faculty, and students spent time with 7 visitors, along with 3 interpreters, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The specific objectives for this exchange program are "to demonstrate experiential approaches to STEM education in a variety of settings, highlighting the benefits of hands-on learning in increasing student engagement; provide connections to U.S. organizations and resources that can grow into long-term contracts; and explore ways of connecting STEM education to students' economic empowerment and to national economic and workforce development."
