2019 Bach Contest

The Ursuline Academy Bach Piano Contest was founded in 1960 by Sr. Elizabeth Marie Landry, O.S.U. A few years ago, contest director Helen Honoree Myers '84 (a former contestant and current high school music teacher) included strings in the competition. On March 16, 2019, sixty students from the greater New Orleans area competed in the piano and strings divisions of this event. The Sr. Elizabeth Marie Landry, O.S.U. grand prize strings winner was Peyton Preston. Larson Vincent was the grand prize piano winner in the piano division. A special thank you to members of the Academy's Tri-M Music Honor Society for assisting with this special event.
