Through a grant funded by the Joe W. and Dorothy Dorsett Brown Foundation, Ursuline girls were able to create aspirational art for Grace House. Grace House is a local non-profit substance abuse facility. Through this grant, students were able to work with professional grade materials to produce much larger projects. More than the project, these girls were educated about opiod/substance abuse and were able to demystify and destigmatize those who are addicted and going through the treatment process.
This project, referred to as Apirational Art, aspires those in need to reach their highest heights through reflecting on the artwork. Due to the COVID-19 school closure, the installation of the artwork has been postponed. We look forward to gathering as soon as possible and we are grateful for the opportunity to work with Grace House. This project has been beneficial to all involved
