Pink Game Raises Money and Awareness

Our annual Pink Game raised both money and awareness! This is always a special day for the Academy as we remember a beloved member of our Ursuline family who lost her battle to breast cancer. Coach Marta Bott was truly loved by students, players and coworkers.

Ursuline Academy’s Pink Game began in 2008 in honor of Marta Bott - a former Ursuline coach, teacher and administrator. Just a couple of months after the inaugural game, Marta lost her battle with breast cancer. The Pink Game tradition has carried on – raising both money and awareness for breast cancer while celebrating the life of a beloved member of our Ursuline family. Since 2011, Ursuline has partnered with East Jefferson General Hospital’s Breast Care Center – donating over $80,000 of game proceeds to help purchase equipment, supplies, and even dedicate a section of the treatment center to the hospital. In the true Ursuline spirit of Serviam, meaning I will serve, let us come together in support of breast cancer survivors, fighters, and also those who’ve lost their battle. Together, let us remember Marta and all others who have been affected.
