“My last word to you is that you live in harmony, united together, all of one heart and will. Be bound to one another by the bond of charity, esteeming each other, helping each other, bearing with each other in Jesus Christ.” - St. Angela Merici
Inspired by these words, more than one hundred alumnae gathered in St. Ursula Hall on April 24, 1900 to form an Alumnae Association committed to strengthening the bond between former students and their Alma Mater.
United together, the Ursuline Alumnae Association of New Orleans continues in the tradition of those gathered in 1900. In keeping with our foundress’ motto, Cor Unum (Latin for “One Heart”) alumnae continue to play a vital role in helping each other and supporting their Alma Mater now and into the future.
