Williams Named Athletic Director of the Year

Ursuline could not be more proud to announce that our very own Andrea Williams was named the District I Athletic Director of the Year!

District I is made up of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines Parishes and Coach Williams was awarded during the Louisiana High School Athletic Director’s Association Conference this past week.

Thank you, Coach Williams, for all you have done for Ursuline Athletics and congratulations on such a well-deserved honor!

Andrea Williams
 is a former Division I athlete and played for University of New Orleans Lady Privateer basketball team. She has coached two years on the college level and seven years on the high school level. 
In 2017 Coach Williams’ was named District Coach of the Year and the Clarion Herald Coach of the Year. Here team made in to the Final Four of the LHSAA Division II State Tournament.
In 2016 Coach Williams’ basketball team won the Class 4A State Championship and were District 9-4A Champions. Coach Williams’ team was named the 2016 Most Outstanding Prep Team by the All State Sugar Bowl. Coach Williams was name the Most Outstanding Prep Coach by the All State Sugar Bowl. Also, she was named District and Metro Coach of the Year and State Form Coach of the Month. Coach Williams’s team was rank 24th in the Nation at the start of the 2016-2017 school year. Coach Williams’ basketball team won the school's first State Basketball Championship in school history. Coach Williams is also the Director of Athletics for the middle school and high school.
