Hello from the Ursuline Theatre II Class! Our year has been very enjoyable so far. From presenting monologues to acting out scenes, our teacher, Mrs. Zirkenbach, has shown us many different skills necessary to improve and nurture our theatre skills. Our latest project was performing a musical number from a Broadway production. For this assignment everyone got to pick their own song, with the approval from Mrs. Zirkenbach, and present it in front of the class. There were many things to be done before the day of the assessment; however, for example: determining your costume, building character in the song, and performing for each other in groups to prep for the real performance. When the assessment finally came, the tension in the air was palpable. As soon as everyone performed; however, we all ended up enjoying it more than we thought we would. I have no doubt we will remember this exciting experience for years to come.
