High School Cheer Wins Top Spirit Award & First Overall

We've got spirit, yes we do!

On the first day of UCA Camp at Southeastern in Hammond, our high school cheerleaders won the biggest award given for spirit, the banana!

They also earned first place in each competition in which they competed! This consisted of the extreme routine, cheer, and game day competitions. The team was also awarded the Traditions Award, chosen by the staff for the team that inspires leadership on and off the field. Senior, Megan Assavedo, made it to the finals of the jump off. Megan Assavedo, Katie Elam, and Zoe Elam made All-American cheerleader by trying out in front of the entire camp. Three of our seniors, Mariana Alvarez, Megan Assavedo, and Emma Vignes, were given the Pin It Forward award for their positivity, friendliness, and leadership.

Congrats, Ursuline girls! You make us proud!
