Please see below for the carpool flow for the 2026-2027 school year. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to make drop-off and pick-up safe, quick, and efficient!

Nursery, Toddler 1 - Pre-K Carpool Flow
  • Nursery Lily House Drop-off between 7-8:30 a.m.: Parents should park in the Lily House parking lot on Nashville Avenue to bring their child in through the main entrance of Lily House.
  • T1-PK Drop-off between 7-7:30 a.m.: Students should enter through the main entrance of the ECLC building. Parents should park and walk their child to their classroom. Parents should enter campus via Nashville Avenue.
  • T1 Drop-off between 7:30-7:50 a.m.: Parents will enter the Claiborne gate and wait in the carline before parking safely in the spaces reserved for Lily House drop-off and pick-up right past the carport area. Parents will walk their child in through the main entrance of the ECLC building, located in the front.
  • T2-PK Drop-off between 7:30-7:50 a.m.: T2-PK parents will enter the Claiborne Gate to drop their child off at the carport during carline. They have the option to park in the spaces reserved for ECLC drop-off and pick-up. 
  • T2-PK Pick-up between 2:40-3:05 p.m.: Parents will enter the first Nashville Gate for ECLC carline. After 3:05 p.m., T2-Pre-K students will be brought to aftercare in the ECLC building. Parents should park in the spaces reserved for ECLC drop-off and pick-up and pick them up from the ECLC building.

Kindergarten-7th Grade Carpool Flow

  • K-7th Drop-off between 7-7:50 a.m.: Parents should enter through Claiborne Gate and exit on Nashville Ave. Right turn only when exiting on Nashville.
  • K-7th Pick-up between 3:05-3:30 p.m.: Those arriving before 3:05 p.m. should line up near the edge of the Ourso Gym and wait until ECLC dismissal is done.
  • The “walker gate” for K-7th students is located at the pedestrian gate near the Lion’s Den and should be used for pick-up ONLY. Parents should walk into the parking lot area for pickup (not the school yard). Students will walk with their parents through the parking lot. Please be reminded that cars are not allowed to enter this area of campus for pick-up.

8th-12th Grade Carpool Flow

  • High School Drop-off between 7:30-7:50 a.m.: Parents should enter the horseshoe using the State Street gate closest to Claiborne. Students arriving between 7 and 7:30 a.m. must use the Claiborne gate entrance and be dropped off in the carpool line.
  • High School Pick-up between 3:05-4 p.m.: Parents should line up along State Street. Students will dismiss through Date Door and walk through the pedestrian gate. After 4 p.m., Date Door will close, and students should be picked up from the Nashville carport. 
  • All high school students must be off campus by 5:30 p.m.

Carline Safety Reminders

Carline safety is an Ursuline Academy community responsibility. As a reminder, Nashville Avenue is an active school zone. Please adhere to the following safety procedures to keep carline running quickly and safely:

Morning Drop-Off:

  • Lower School and Middle School students need to wait for a teacher to open the car door to exit the car.
  • Associate Director of Campus Ministry Jaime Regan will be at carline from 7-7:30 a.m. 
  • Students need to exit the car from the passenger side.
  • Teachers cannot unbuckle students. 

Afternoon Pick-Up:

  • Please display your student's carline placard prominently in your vehicle's front window on the passenger side.
  • Parents/guardians need to remain in their cars. Teachers will bring students to the car door. 
  • Students need to enter the car on the passenger side.
  • If students need to be buckled in, parents/guardians should pull forward to the parking spots behind the carport to buckle students. 
  • Walker dismissal is only allowed from Walker Gate near the playground on Nashville. Parents must park and pick up their student.

Ursuline Academy follows the Louisiana Child Passenger Seat Laws and Louisiana School Zone Laws:

  • Vehicles must be fully stopped and completely in park when dropping off and picking up your student.
  • Passing another vehicle during active school zone hours in the carline is strictly prohibited. Please do not pull out and around other cars in the carline.
  • Operating any wireless communication device (texting, calling without a hands-free accessory, or browsing social media) is illegal while driving through an active school zone.

Please make sure anyone authorized to pick up your student understands Ursuline Academy's carline procedures.
